As most of you know, the Senior World Championships will begin in Tokyo on September 9 and continue through September 12, so the World Championships will be underway at the same time we are doing the Universal Judo Challenge.

Universal's National Womens +78kg Champion, Nina Cutro-Kelly will be competing at the World Championships on the 9th.

I thought it would be a good idea to have a different set of awards for the Team Champions and the Outstanding Competitor. The winners of each of those awards will receive a 22 x 30 framed poster from the 2010 Senior World Championships, WHILE the World Championships are still going on: Team Championship will be based on the highest total points based on tournament finishes - 3 points for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd. In case of a tie, we will go to most total matches won by each club. NOTE, as the host club, Universal Judo is NOT ELIGIBLE for the Team Championship.
