Infantil Pan American Championships

Kavin Johnson scored a Silver medal in her first International tournament when she placed second in the Intermediate 2 34kg division at the Infantil Pan American Championships on October 1 in Panama City, Panama.

 

Universal Judo students score Jujitsu Medals

The Southwest Grappling Championships was held October 9 in Albuquerque, NM. Mariah Holguin finished with a Silver medal in the mixed boys' and girls' 9-10yr 75 lb Brazilian Jujitsu segment of the competition, and also finished fourth in the no-gi division. Kavin Johnson scored a double Bronze in the 11-12 yr boys' & girls' 75lb Brazilian Jujitsu and no-gi groups.

 

Four Universal students will compete in the 24th Youth Judo Championships in Sint-Truiden, Belgium. Kavin Johnson, Jonathon Stafford and Mariah and Cameron Holguin will be traveling as part of a USA Judo delegation that will participate in the Nov 13-14 event.
